Theme... Maintain the Flame

This year we celebrate the 399th anniversary of the foundation of the Sisters of the Company of Mary, our Lady. The year will be marked with preparation activities for our big celebration next year. The theme reminds us that the flame has been carried for these 399 years and it is our mission to continue Saint Jeanne's dream and legacy.

Sister Charlotte Anne Turrietta will be our principal this year and Mrs. Kristen Mora will join the Administrative team as Coordinator of Instruction. Added emphasis will be placed on the Fine Arts this year with special music instruction and the addition of a new art program for grades K-6.

Theme... Living Legacy

This is the big year! We celebrate the 400th anniversary of the foundation of the Sisters of the Company of Mary by our foundress Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac. The approval of the order dates to April 7, 1607. There will be days of celebration and prayer to thank God for this great grace.

The theme for this year reflects our celebration. We will review the life of Saint Jeanne and the legacy that she left us so that we will learn from her what it means to follow the call of God, where ever it takes us!

August 2007

Theme... Yes! I Can Do It.

This year=s theme reflects the mindset of Saint Jeanne when she began her first schools. There were many challenges but one by one she met them head on and they became opportunities for success. Like Jeanne, we too can have the A Can Do attitude.

This school year brings some slight changes in Administration. Sister Charlotte Anne resumes her position as President of the school and Sister Esperanza and Mrs. Kristen Mora are named co-principals. Mrs. Mora becomes the first lay principal of a Company of Mary owned school in the California. This is also a very special year for Sister Henrietta as she celebrates her golden anniversary of religious profession.

Theme... Walking with the Lord

We, as a Catholic community, strongly believe that there is no substitute for a vibrant faith life. It is our faith in the Lord that will help us enjoy, in gratitude, our successes and help us not only meet our challenges, but make the most of them. Using this theme we will encourage our students to live every day in faith, hope, and love.
