The mission of St. Junipero Serra House of Formation is to help men discern and respond generously to the call of Jesus Christ to the diocesan priesthood, specifically for the people of the Diocese of San Bernardino. In the spirit of our patron, St. Junipero Serra, we seek to form missionary disciples who are ready to go forward with courage, bringing the Gospel to the growing and diverse communities of the Diocese.
We strive to foster seminarians who are spiritually rooted, intellectually prepared, pastorally sensitive, and humanly mature; men who can live celibacy with joy, lead with humility, and proclaim the faith clearly and compassionately. Everything in the house, from the chapel to the classroom to the dining room, is ordered toward this one purpose: forming priests after the Heart of the Good Shepherd for our local Church.
