The Office of Social Concerns is a resource to the Diocese in issues of social justice and peace. The office provides training to parish ministers of social concerns, justice and charity. The office offers support for local social concerns groups. The office coordinates efforts of advocacy in conjunction with the California Catholic Conference and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. In addition, the office administers sacrificial giving grants, the Catholic Campaign for Human Development, and a local grant program of the Diocese called "Sacrificial Giving Grant Program."
