History of The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community, Inc.

Under the norms of the Code of Canon Law and having duly consulted with the Presbyteral Council, the Ministerial Personnel and Placement Board, and the Pastors of the affected parishes, Bishop Barnes established a new parish community, The Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Redlands, effective July 1, 2006.This new parish was comprised of the merging of Sacred Heart Parish, Redlands and St. Mary's Parish, Redlands. Reverend Paul C. Granillo, JCL, was appointed as the founding Pastor of the new parish effective July 1, 2006. Reverend Mark E. Kotlarczyk and Reverend Adalberto Jerónimo were assigned as Parochial Vicars of the new parish, also effective July 1, 2006.
The Holy Name of Jesus Catholic community, one Church of many peoples, exists to praise and honor God, to embrace the dignity of every person, to grow together spiritually, and to witness to the Good News of Jesus Christ in Redlands, California. We challenge ourselves to deepen our unity as we move forward toward the vision of a new place of worship.
