Department of Pastoral Planning

The Department of Pastoral Planning provides models, methodologies, and resources so that schools, parishes, and diocesan offices can foster a culture of Welcoming, Belonging, and Ownership to carry out the mission of the Church to “ go out and make disciples…” (Mt 28:19)
Pastoral Council:
The Ministry of Pastoral Council is to assist the pastor or the appointed leadership, in discerning the will of God for the parish at this time through the wisdom of the graced community
Pastoral Planning:
Planning with the people not just for the people! We offer a parish structure and organization process rooted in our Diocesan Vision, with the values of hospitality, collaboration, reconciliation, and faith sharing.
The Statistical Ministry:
The Statistical Ministry is responsible for the Diocesan Statistics Program. This consists of gathering statistical information annually from the parishes, schools and church institutions to prepare several reports for the Diocese, the Official Catholic Directory, and the Vatican.
Episcopal Visitations: The Pastor/Pastoral Coordinator and committee members hold a preliminary meeting with the Department of Pastoral Planning at least 3 months prior to the visitation. The meeting will focus on the role, responsibilities, and expectations the Pastor/Pastoral Coordinator/ Administrator may have during the Visitation.
