Religious Activities

The 8 series of Religious Activities for Scouts offer fun and easy ways to learn about the Catholic faith, role models, and global faith community, perfect for group or unit completion.

Rosary Series

The Rosary Series will focus on a different set of Mysteries of the Holy Rosary and an activity describing how to pray the rosary. This is an opportunity for the youth and adults alike to learn more about their faith.

There are 5 activities in all. They are the Joyful Mysteries, Luminous Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries, Glorious Mysteries, and Pray the Rosary. A beautiful 5″ diameter patch is available with each activity.

American Saint Series

The American Saint Series program engages youth in learning about significant Catholic figures in America, aiming to inspire them through the lives of Blessed and Saints as role models. Each year, new saint activities are introduced on January 1st. Participants can earn a patch featuring the saint’s likeness for each completed activity.

Modern Saints Series

The Modern Saints Series celebrates contemporary saints from around the globe who have significantly impacted many lives. The goal is to inspire youth by sharing these saints’ lives, helping them relate and view these individuals as role models.

Faith Series

Marian Series

The Marian Series explores the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, five Marian feasts celebrated in the U.S., and the only approved Marian apparition site in the United States. Activities cover various Marian devotions, and participants can earn a patch for each completed activity.

Women in Scripture

The Women in Scripture series focus on individuals who lived lives of courage and faithfulness. These women often fanned the flame of faith in their families and communities and were the backbone of the Church and faith since the very beginning of Jesus’ ministry.

St. George Trek

The Saint George Trek is the high adventure leadership program for older Catholic Scouting America and Venturing Crew members offered by the National Catholic Committee on Scouting. This amazing program brings Catholic high school youth from around the country together with selected priests, religious and seminarians for eleven days of backpacking in the context of a vocation retreat in the valleys and hills of Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. For more information about the St. George Trek or if you are interested in attending the St. George Trek as a Scout/Venturer from the Diocese of San Bernardino, you are asked to contact the chair of the San Bernardino Catholic Diocesan Committee on Scouting.
