Young Catholics often rely on guidance from adults such as parents, adult leaders in Scouting, and other community members on their faith journey. The San Bernardino Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting recognizes these adults’ outstanding contributions to youth spiritual development through four Adult Religious Recognition Programs.
Scouting America

Bronze Pelican
The Pelican, a liturgical symbol of parental and Church care, is used by the Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting to award the Bronze Pelican. This recognition honors men and women who have significantly contributed to the spiritual development of Catholic youth in Scouting.

The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting awards the St. George recognition, which is a national recognition, to men and women who have made outstanding contributions to the spiritual development of Catholic youth in Scouting America.
Adult Leaders in Scouting America can wear the BSA Adult Religious Knot only after receiving the St. George recognition.

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton
